Deena provides individual consultation and supervision. She works from a Relational – Psychodynamic perspective with a particular emphasis on countertransference as a tool to understand the client’s experience.
She is able to help address both general practice issues and perinatal concerns on an on-going basis or for a specific case. She is especially interested in working with pregnant therapists and therapists working with pregnant women.
Currently, Deena is on the faculty of The Women's Therapy Center, The Pacific Center and The Psychotherapy Institute as a supervisor. Additionally, she has supervised Social Work interns in her private practice. Previously, she was clinical and administrative supervisor of West Oakland Health Center’s Outpatient, Perinatal Day Treatment Program.
